Northwest end of Bonaire. A dive boat is waiting for its divers to return.

Attractive bartender in the town of Rincon. I wanted to email this photo to her but she said she didn't have a computer. She said she was going to buy a laptop but decided to get the gold tooth, ingraved with her boyfriends initials, instead.

The colors of Bonaire....This is a town building, very much like most in the island capital, Kronlyndike.

One of the dive sites on Bonaire...the Andrea One. Beautiful island, above and underwater.

An octopus...I was blessed to see this octopus on my second dive in Bonaire. Luckily, I had the camera! He swam about and even changed color right before my eyes! What a sight! I got about 5 or 6 clear shots...There will be more to come.

Roofline with copper and brick. An older Victorian in the town of Port Jefferson.

Sea Wolf, a Research Vessel

Port Jefferson, Long Island, NY. State University at Stony Brook has a program in marine studies.
This is their research vessel, SeaWolf

Island in Sunlight

Port Jefferson Ferry

Port Jefferson Ferry pulling into port. This ferry takes people and their cars to Conneticut and back.
A great deal of weight is being transported every day.
It saves the drivers of Long Island the many miles it would take to drive toward the city and then back east to the states of Conneticut, Vermont and the rest of the Northeast.
There are no bridges until you go west into the city limits.

Montauk, Long Island. The end of Long Island's south shore. There is a big lighthouse here but most of the harbor is filled with commercial fishing boats. They still go out to sea to supply Long Island and even NYC with fish. This photo shows the back of one building at dusk, workers still there. Notice the garage door for approaching fishing boats!

Another creation using Photoshop. One Christmas gift I received, was a book on using Photoshop. I'm reading this as you do a textbook!

Twelve screens and one photo...just having some fun with Photoshop!

Blue Point, Long Island

Blue Point, Long Island, NY....As seen through a fence.
The condos in the distance put up this fence to keep the teenagers out. This is a favorite hangout at night for them and free access to the condos, I guess can create problems.

This photo was taken in Pennsylvania on Christmas Day.

Driving around, looking for some photo ops, we came upon this house. Nice lawn ornament, isn't it? Well, they did have a Christmas wreath on the door!

sunrise... January 1, 2006

Another sunrise photo...read the notes below. To see a larger version, click on the photo itself.

Another photo from sunrise, January 1st, 2006...I'm learning to add frames using Photoshop, thanks to a book given to me by my father-in-law. Thanks, Dad. I still have lots to learn!

First Sunrise of the New Year

Sunrise, January 1st 2006
My husband and I woke up early today to watch the sun rise on a new year.
Although there were clouds, there also was a promise of sunshine...
The bay was calm, the seagulls were in flight looking for food, the boardwalk was icy, the air was cold but fresh and the feeling was wonderful.
May you have a wonderful year, in good health and happiness!
