Pousada de Tavira

On my last visit to Portugal, we stayed in Pousadas. They are government owned hotels which are set up in old castles, monasteries, convents, and palaces. I know it sounds very adventurous, but the hotels are well maintained and professionally run. I highly recommend that you check them out! Google: Portugal Posadas.

Cemetery Statue

This is a statue in a small cemetery in Patchogue, Long Island, NY.

Saint Francis of Sales (in French , St Francois de Sales) (1567-1622), seventeenth-century bishop of Geneva and Roman Catholic saint, patron saint to writers and journalists.
