Here is Fire Island, looking west toward New York City. You can see the Robert Moses Bridge and Causeway as well as the Great South Bay and Captree Island.
The closest I ever got to this view was at the top of the Robert Moses lighthouse. You can actually see the lighthouse in your lovely photograph. This picture illustrates just how big Long Island really is! Great shot!
