I remember one early fall day in the 50s while fishing on that pier I caught a huge blue crab. Somebody asked me if they could have it so I gave it to them.
Another time my father and I were fishing on that pier. In the early fall, the killie fish surrounded the pier and were at their largest of the season. We were actually catching killiefish on flounder hooks.
